Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music hailing from the US. Ashley Monroe was part of a group known as Pistol Annies, with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, followed by her release of her 2nd album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for over fifteen years and has spent five years serving as a deputy city manager for Iowa City. Her current duties as Assistant Village Manager include management of the Community Development and Building Department managing grants, as well as completing specific tasks. Ashley is responsible for managing the operations and activities of Riverside Village while also implementing the goals and strategies for elected officers. Ashley's previous roles included municipal planning, communications for government, budgeting, personnel management and collective negotiations. The focus was also on actions to combat climate change. Ashley's work with national agencies as well as working with communities that have diverse populations have given her insights into how organizations with all sizes operate. Ashley's course focuses on leadership, management and public administration from the viewpoint from a practitioner in the field. She focuses on ethics and strategic decision-making adaptation to today's challenges and opportunities, as well as navigating intergovernmental and community relationships provides context for aspiring and current professionals in public institutions.
